Ice Cream Machine Repair Guide: How to Fix It Yourself?

Many of us think that using the ice cream machine is very simple like just pulling the liver and it will drop the ice cream. But it is not the case. There is the whole mechanism that we need to understand going behind it. There is a tank in it that stores the milk, sugar and the refrigerator that freeze the milk and change it into ice cream. the pin for taylormate hex coupler is one of the small parts used in ice cream machines but it has many benefits hence need to be looked after regularly.  Let’s start our today’s topic to encounter the common issues that may come in daily routine and you can cover them yourself.

Avoid Overfilling:

Lower quality ice cream will be made if you overfill your ice cream machine. It happens because ice cream needs popper aerate during the whole process. A sloppy kind of mess will be created if you overfill the ice cream maker and will be spilled out as well. So try to add a specific quantity in the maker and enjoy outstanding results.

It is recommended that ice cream bowls should not be filled ½” because the ingredients will take a specific space to process.

Don’t Run the Machine too Long:

Generally the mid range ice cream machines have a 20-40 minutes cycle on average. But you must have to pause it to avoid any overloading. If you over use the machine without any break it may broke. Simple solution is to have 2 machines and run one of them at a time or pause your machine after some time.

Check the Fuse:

It has a number of functions in it that convert the milk into ice cream. Sometimes everything is ok but still it is not working. At that time mostly people ignored the fuse of the machine. Fuse is the small part in it that damages during overuse, electricity fluctuation or spark. It safes your machine from high voltages and spark. You can simply take out the faulty fuse and replate it with the new one with the same voltage mentioned on it.

The Belt Problem:

There are 2 pulleys in this machine you can see it from outside. These are used to mix the ice cream and avoid it from freezing. But due to weather conditions or getting it too old breaks it. In that case you do not need a mechanic but you can fix it yourself. Just note the size of belt mentioned on it and the threads count on belt and get the similar one. You can easily replace the new belt on it with just a little bit of effort.

Stop the Leakages:

It is not very common problem in soft ice cream machines but this happens only if the milk tank is faulty or you have not lubricated your machine for a long time. Not lubricating will result in friction and may break the seals. You should check and lubricate the machine parts on the regular basis. Do not make a foolish mistake by applying a regular oil on it but always use a proper machine parts oil that you can get easily from any mechanical shop.

What if Ice Cream is Very Soft?

In that case, the first thing you need to do is to check the feed tube in the hopper to ensure that it is positioned properly. If that is ok then you should reduce the temperature gradually to the point where the soft ice is best. In either way, you should check if the thermostat is working properly or not.

Conclusion:

Towards the conclusion, I would say tracing out the right problem in your ice cream machine is your main skill you need to work on. Do not rush to the mechanic straight away but try to fix it yourself at the first step. Even if you could not fix it you should try to look into it so you know what is happening and you can fix it yourself next time. Keep it lubricated and well maintained. Use the stabilizer or the fuse to avoid it from any electricity fluctuation.
